It's here, folks. The chapter you've all been waiting for. The finale to the Eight Sim Challenge. It's Chapter 14 of 'Test'ing My Patience! I can't believe I actually finished a challenge for the first time in my life. I feel so accomplished!
Celebrations aside, though, why don't we jump right into the update?
El Bandito welcomed us to the neighborhood in Chapter One, and now he's here to say goodbye. How sweet, haha!
I didn't know this, but apparently when El Bandito rummages through the trash can it's loud enough to wake up the whole household. Except for Devin, I guess. Maybe he's too exhausted from work. Poor guy.
I forgot to take a picture of Aaron being the first one to use our new grill. Why am I bad at playing the game and taking pictures at the same time? 😞 Also, why do I see a flood in the corner? Please don't tell me Marcus broke the dishwasher. Breaking the sinks was bad enough.
Aaron and Marcus: *awkward silence*
Alrighty. Looks like I got my answer. Time to call our ol' pal Bruno *le sigh*.
Woot woot! I got a picture of someone using the grill! Why are you making burgers though, Heather? We still have some left over from Aaron's batch.
Heather: Let's just say cooking is not Aaron's forte.
They looked okay to me, but fine. The important thing is that I finally got a picture of someone using the grill, lol.
I figured now would be a good time to show you the completed exterior of the Test residence. We have a nice little patio in the front with some benches, and a BBQ patio in the back (with a grill, dining table and chairs, and a serving table in the corner). We also have outdoor lighting and various plants around the house.
I think they're making up since the challenge is over. I actually can't remember if I forced them to do this interaction, or if it was autonomous. Eitherway it's cute. 🥰
Heather... are you... are you gardening in only a robe?
Heather: Like I said, Nooboostar, it feels liberating.
Devin: *trying to focus on grilling the burgers*.
Let's move on to something a little more G-rated. Here's the completed living room/hallway! This is also the last picture for Day 27. Our final funds dropped to §203. I may have spent too much on the living room. 😅
Making sure everyone gets those last few skills required for a promotion. I doubt there'll be any this chapter, however.
Last day of the challenge, and we have our first self-urinator? Not bad, if I do say so myself. Not bad at all!
Marcus: *crying in shame*
Catherine: Nooboostar, stop embarrassing him. Can't you just ignore it like the rest of us?
I-I was just-
Heather: Save it.
Since I felt bad, I decided to give in and finally get them a gardener. It is the last day of the challenge, after all, and they can pretty much afford one by now.
Last set of bills to take care of! The amount is getting pretty high, but I'm not worried since we have eight working Sims in this household.
Aww, I wanted to say goodbye. Guess they're all pretty tired, and want to be fresh for work tomorrow. On the bright side, this is a good time to show you all the completed bedrooms. I also finished the bathrooms, but apparently I don't have any pictures of them. Sorry about that, everyone. 🤦♀️
Since I won't be here by the time they wake up, I decided to build them a little pool as a parting gift. 😊
This brings us to the end of Chapter 14, Day 28, and the Eight Sim Challenge! It was a long four Sim-weeks, but I enjoyed every minute of it. Our final funds for the day went up to §723, we have 1 family friend (i.e: Trip Townie), and our net worth is a whopping §64,630! Thank you so much to everyone who followed 'Test'ing My Patience whether it was from the beginning, or from any point during the challenge. I really hope you enjoyed reading about it as much as I enjoyed playing it! As always if you have any thoughts or comments, feel free to leave them down below.
I'm not sure what I'll do next, or when I'll be able to do anything new since I started university last week and already have so many things to complete and submit. Can you believe it? It's like they enjoy torturing us, and don't want us to live our lives. 😢
I'll try to be active, though, so make sure you keep your alerts for this blog on. 😉
Until then, dag-dag! 👋
